A vibrant mix of hand-made pieces, vintage finds and designer touches makes Sarah’s Victorian terraced house a colourful and comfortable family home. A conventional shopping trip to the high street isn’t something you find Sarah doing very often. Passionate about contemporary craft, upcycling and vintage furnishings, she’s more likely to be found commissioning a hand-made piece, hunting through charity shops or bidding at auction. ‘I never deliberately aim to get anything to match, ’ she explains. ‘My style is very broad. What’s in the house has developed over the years as we’ve lived here, and everything has its own story. ’
